WHAT'S INCLUDED

Each board and batten kit includes:

• 6 cm wide × 1.2 cm thick top horizontal board
• 2 cm wide × 1 cm thick vertical battens
• 8 cm wide × 1.5 cm thick bottom board, which can also be used as a baseboard

The pieces arrive individually pre-cut and ready for installation.

WHY POLYURETHANE WALL MOLDING?

Polyurethane molding offers the classic appearance of wood trim while providing several advantages for DIY wall paneling projects.

It can be cut, nailed, sanded and painted much like traditional wood molding, while remaining lightweight and slightly flexible. This flexibility helps the molding follow walls that may not be perfectly straight.

Unlike traditional wood, polyurethane is moisture-resistant and does not warp, shrink or swell due to changes in humidity. This makes it an excellent choice for bathroom wainscoting, powder rooms and other areas where moisture may be present.

POLYURETHANE VS. POLYSTYRENE

Not all wall molding kits use the same material.

Our molding is made from premium polyurethane rather than polystyrene. Polyurethane is a denser, more flexible, and more durable material that offers improved impact and wear resistance. It provides a substantial, high-quality finish while still remaining lightweight and easy to work with for DIY installation.

Its added flexibility also helps the molding conform more naturally to walls that may not be perfectly straight, helping create a cleaner, more professional-looking finished installation.

EASY DIY WALL MOLDING INSTALLATION

Our pre-cut board and batten kits are designed with DIY installation in mind. There is no need to hire a professional carpenter to create a custom-looking feature wall.

For an adhesive installation, you will typically need:

• Construction adhesive
• Level
• Measuring tape
• Pencil
• Masking or painter's tape

You may also install the molding using a brad nailer. If using nails, you will need filler or drywall compound, a putty knife and a fine-grit sanding block to conceal the nail holes before painting.

Once installed, simply fill any joints or nail holes as needed, lightly sand and paint the entire board and batten wall in your desired color.

PRE-PRIMED & READY TO PAINT

All molding arrives pre-primed, so you can paint it to coordinate with your walls, baseboards and existing trim.

Painting the molding and wall the same color creates the seamless built-in appearance commonly seen in professionally designed board and batten and wainscoting walls.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Please note that longer pieces measuring 58" and over may be divided into shorter sections due to standard shipping size restrictions.

Where applicable, molding pieces are cut diagonally using a scarf joint. This type of joint makes the seam easier to fill, sand and conceal once the molding is installed and painted.

For board and batten kits, certain pieces may be divided using straight cuts unless otherwise requested.

If you would prefer your longer molding pieces to arrive in full lengths, please contact us before ordering. Oversized shipping may be available for an additional charge depending on your location and the required lengths.

Orders are typically prepared within 1–2 business days.

We ship using trusted carriers including UPS, FedEx, Canpar, Canada Post and UniUni, depending on the destination and package dimensions.
